Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Law preferably with specialisation in criminal, international, humanitarian or international criminal law
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a prosecutor, investigating magistrate, criminal defence lawyer, or equivalent. ICC counts relevant internships at 50%.
  • Experience in preparing or conducting complex legal cases
  • Excellent oral advocacy and drafting skills
  • Proficiency in English or French, with working knowledge of the other
  • Knowledge of two official languages of Switzerland
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 34 years at the date of the first round of interviews

  • Master’s degree in rural development, agriculture, agricultural economics, management, statistics, rural finance, development policy or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years’ relevant working experience in project or country programme design, supervision, evaluation, or loan/grant administration with International Financial Institutions, development cooperation agencies, etc. (IFAD counts relevant internships at 100%, regardless of whether paid or not)
  • Experience in evaluation an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a second UN language
  • Strong interest in a career in multilateral organisations
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social and behavioral science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, education, communication, public relations or other related social science field
  • 3 years of professional experience in areas of social development program planning, communications and public advocacy and/or related areas at the international level and/or a large organisation. UNICEF counts internships at 100% if relevant and paid.
  • Professional experience in a developing country is desired.
  • Excellent oral and written English and fluency in another official UN language.  Knowledge of a local language is an asset.
  • Strong interest in a career in the United Nations
  • Swiss nationality
