UNDP, Programme Analyst (Democratic Governance) (P-2), Islamabad

This position is financed by SDC

Requirements

  • Strong interest in a career with the United Nations
  • Master’s degree in Law or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years of relevant paid work experience in governance, rule of law and rights-based development. Internships are not counted as relevant experience by UNDP.
  • Work experience in developing countries, preferably in the Asia-Pacific regionis desirable
  • English and one other official UN language
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews

This position is financed by the Human Security Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in political science, international humanitarian/human rights law, or other related social science degree
  • At least three years of work experience in political affairs, development issues, humanitarian activities, and/or child protection with governments, international organizations, NGOs, or research institutions. UN Secretariat counts relevant internships at 50%.
  • Work experience in the field or in conflict/post conflict situations an advantage
  • Fluency and excellent drafting skills in English, with proficiency of two official languages of Switzerland
  • Swiss nationality
  • Not older than 32 years at the date of the first round of interviews
